I’m Hana — a writer, illustrator, and mom who believes that some of the most extraordinary growth happens where no one is looking. My first children’s book, Katie and Her Butterfly Voice, is inspired by my daughter, who has apraxia of speech. Her journey showed me that quiet strength is never weakness — it’s determination in its purest form.
Butterfly House Books is just the beginning. Here, you’ll find my current projects, behind-the-scenes art, and resources for families — and soon, opportunities for freelance illustration, creative workshops, and maybe even a cozy little shop of my own.

Why Butterflies?
Butterflies remind me of my daughters quiet power. They do their hardest work out of sight — transforming, building strength, and preparing for flight. When they emerge, it’s not by accident. It’s the result of persistence, patience, and unseen determination.
Butterfly House Books is a tribute to that process — to every child (and grown-up) who works quietly, dreams endlessly, and one day shows the world their wings.
